The Final Collegium at Weltevreden Chapel
On Saturday, 31 October, at 4.00 p.m, a special occasion will take place in Noordhoek at Weltevreden Chapel, Oranje Road: the final Collegium, bringing to a close a cherished tradition that has continued for many years.

Egbert Schoenmaker
During this special concert, Dutch organist and harpsichordist Egbert Schoenmaker will present part of the musical programme. Selway Robson will also introduce the audience to the other highlights of the afternoon. Those who have attended the Collegium concerts over the years will know that there is always room for surprises, with spontaneous ensembles often adding memorable and delightful musical moments.
Egbert Schoenmaker will perform on various organs, as well as a pentaginal spinet. The programme will include works by the Dutch composer and organist Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck, who served as organist at the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam, as well as Tylman Susato, Orlando Gibbons, Johann Jacob Froberger, Johann Caspar Ferdinand Fischer and Johann Sebastian Bach.
Following the Collegium, everyone is warmly invited to stay and enjoy a convivial gathering with a selection of delicious refreshments and South African wines.
You are most cordially invited to join us as we celebrate and bring this special tradition to a fitting close!
